Movement and kids go hand in hand! For years, I have watched them squirm and wiggle, stand and lean, slouch and lay on the desk. They just can't sit still. They try so hard to make the typical desk and chair work for them, but clearly it doesn't. I would like to add some seating to my classroom that will allow for movement in a way that can also keep my students working. These stools can be moved around the room to fit a variety of needs such as desk chairs, working at tables in small groups, bringing them to class meetings for those who struggle to sit calmly on the floor for extended periods of time, etc. I have seen these stool in action in other classrooms and am amazed at how well they work for those fidgety kiddos. By donating to this project you will be giving my students a valuable tool that will help them with focus and stamina for years to come! I, myself, move constantly through out the day as I work with my students, walking around the room, sitting on the floor, kneeling at a desk ... I would love for my students to have options, too!
