Children are eager to learn. They enjoy learning things about each other, so I want to fill my classroom library with books that highlight the diversity in the world. I will use the books to enhance classroom lessons and give the students the opportunity to learn about other races/ethnicities. I want the students in my classroom to be able to see themselves in the books we read. As the children read and learn from these books, I want them to feel empowered so they can be the best version of themselves.
