This project requests copies of Brown Girl Dreaming, Game, Miracle's Boys, March: Book Two and Three, Hoops, Jackie Robiinson, Madam Curie, American Born Chinese, Hush, and Slam! Your donations will bring excitement and diversity into my classroom library. Students will be empowered through art and literature. After reading a new selection, students will identify an issue that is relevant to both the protagonist and the student. Using computer graphics, drawings, and writing, students will compose and create their own graphic novels about the issue they feel most empowered to make a change. They will publish their work and share it at our learning showcase, a time when all of the school comes together to share learning. Please help my students be inspired to be readers and individuals that want to share their passion for change.
