We have a beginning band class which caters to student who have a desire to learn how to play an instrument. Students can learn about music, however they need quality instruments in their hand to practice. With an instrument, students can instantly hear if they are improving or accomplishing the correct sound. The instruments will be assigned to an individual student. The student will use this instrument daily as well as take it home to practice. When students have nice working instruments, they tend to experience more musical success. These instruments will allow students, irregardless of their financial background, a chance to experience the wonderful world of expression through music. Most students from my beginning classes continue playing instruments even after they graduate. Some students have gone on to participate in college band programs.
