Our school has a need for a small group area to train new students and teachers on the technology available in the classroom. Those in need of receiving the training are not only new to our school, however, but they are also new to the county, state and sometimes country. Although we have labs in our building because we are tight for space, those are utilized for large group sessions. The television has a history of being in the classroom for the past 50 years, this tool will help our classroom project what is being presented on the teacher's computer screen in large format. Rather than walking to each students computer and pointing to the next steps, students will be able to view the instructor's screen projected onto a larger screen. The device will help us save instruction time, and get more accomplished during this session. Many of those sessions are providing students the learning opportunity to grasp the basic skills for navigating our portal's features that will help them become successful in the classroom. Those groups on average create weekly tech orientations. Those sessions are an important starting piece for learning in our classrooms.
