My students are curious, eager, struggling learners. They all benefit from multiple entry points for any topic and especially visual/tactile learning experiences. Pre-Kindergarteners learn best when their hands are busy. We need manipulatives for them to explore the world of math. We are going to learn about shapes, number one-to-one correspondence, patterns using shapes and magna tiles which are magnetic tiles that can allow students to explore geometry concepts, and length by measuring, feeling, and using Dough mats. For example, the Peg Number boards can help my students learn to associate numbers and quantities. The materials I have requested are all materials that will engage my students. I have selected materials that will help students learn about geometry, counting, quantifying, and connecting numbers to numerals. It is especially important for young learners to have a rich environment that will provide them with the support, engagement, and inspiration necessary to truly excel. I am confident that with the help of your donation I know I will see even more growth. Thank you!
