My students range from high readers to below level readers. My desire is to implement resources that will reach all of my learners in the following areas: Phonological skills (decoding), comprehension skills, semantics (the meaning of language), syntax (organizing words into comprehensible sentences) and discourse (writing and speaking). The easel and Chromebook will help differentiate instruction and reach each student academically. Technology has a positive impact in the education process. It is my belief that technology occupies an important place within students’ lives. When they are not in school, just about everything they do is connected in some way to technology. By integrating technology into the classroom students will use advanced technology to shape how they learn. By embracing and integrating technology in the classroom, I will be setting my students up for a successful life outside of school: Preparing them for the future, improved retention rate and helping students learn at their own pace. It is important to me that I implement and add resources to my classroom that will help students become successful. Through planning and preparation, effective instruction and resources will help me create a classroom conducive for learning and all students will be able to excel from point A to point B scholastically.
