My eighth grade students are a mix of reluctant and eager readers who are interested in many different genres of books. They vary anywhere from third grade reading level to the reading ability of a high school senior. In order to encourage my students to read, I must provide them with relatable and interesting reading options. I have been working diligently since the beginning of the year to reflect this gap in my classroom library. However, when you are a new teacher working towards such a tedious task, it gets to be costly (but is well worth it). My students enjoy reading and being exposed to new and interesting topics.
