The wobble chairs that I am asking for will make a huge difference in my classroom. Often kids are expected to sit in their chairs at their desks for more than 5-6 hours each day. I want to redesign my classroom to make it a shared, student-centered space that targets all types of learners. Students don’t have to do their learning at their desk. Allowing my students the ability to make choices has been very successful in their academics. The wobble seat helps develop postural stability by strengthening core muscles. This will improve posture while sitting and allow my students the ability to move. The rocking motion provides input for the nervous system, specifically the vestibular system, that can be calming and organizing for the brain. This type of input will help students pay attention in a subtle way.
