Think about the last time you were seated somewhere uncomfortable… on an airplane, at the dentist's office, at work! When you're uncomfortable it's all you can think about. Now imagine being uncomfortable all day long in your classroom! Research shows that when students are comfortable, they are more focused, more engaged and attain deeper understanding! With your help, I will transition the traditional desk and chair classroom into one with flexible seating choices where each student can choose a "best fit seat" each day. I want my students to be learning and taking risks each day, not distracted by their discomfort. Flexible seating will allow all students to feel successful, supported and safe each and every day!
