I teach a 3rd grade dual class. It would be greatly beneficial to have a set of Spanish dictionaries. My students learn so much through reading. By having their own dictionary they can enhance their learning in all subject areas. It is impressive to see how much they can develop their two languages just by reading. I addition, they learn the required 3rd grade curriculum. With a book, they can help each other. They read to learn, research, read aloud, improve their communication skills etc. By having a classroom library they can be ready to enhance their bilingual skills.
