My students live in a rural community without many opportunities. These students are teenagers who read on a 1.0-3.0 grade level. Most of the books they can read are not age appropriate (written for elementary students). My students are begging for hi-lo teen readers, and having a library of hi-lo teen readers could be the ticket to help these students become free to develop a lifelong love and appreciation for reading!
