I work at a Title 1 school where about 75% of our students are free or reduced lunch. We have programs in place to make sure our students are fed healthy options, when the only meal may be the one they get at school. My students love to play and be active like their teacher! It is so important that students stay healthy and active so they can focus on learning in the classroom. On many occasions they have asked for a basketball or a soccer ball for recess. We have very minimal equipment, not allowing many children to enjoy it!
