Action, humor, graphic novels, and book clubs! My students have grown to love reading, but as a first year teacher in 4th grade, I don't have the quantity or diversity in my books that would enable me to provide all of my students with books that they love! My students attend a charter school in South Florida. Most of my students have not been taught to value education or a love of reading, therefore I try to bring a love of books and new knowledge to my classroom everyday. We have read several novels and picture books throughout the year, but I would like to provide my students opportunities to do so in a small group setting.
