We are at an elementary school in Texas, and my students come from various backgrounds. Many students are from low-income homes and have very little real life experiences. They haven't traveled much or experienced much in life, so they need lots of hands-on activities to explore and learn through. My students have varied learning styles so they need hands-on activities that allow them to "play" and explore while they investigate and examine high-interest topics.
