The students will use the tables and seating options as an alternative to desks. Many of my students like to stand, move, or even sit on the floor while working. My classroom can sometimes feel very restrictive to these students. The tables and seating options will be used for those students that need an alternative work space. It will allow a controlled movement option for the students and enhance their learning experience. The students will be able to stand or use the stools to sit up higher at the tables, or choose to use the stability balls to get some wiggles out. This project will make a difference because it will meet the needs of my current students and their learning types. The students will see that I care about the way they learn and am going to do something about it. It will give them the opportunity to keep their minds and bodies active.
