Sitting in chairs all day is a hard task for busy Second Graders! It's even harder when there is not near enough recess time for them to run around and move their little bodies. I'm looking to transform my classroom by offering my students alternative seating options. My plan is to have different options for my students to utilize as seating as they move throughout their day. I'll have one table with wobble chairs, one raised table where the students can stand up to do their work, one with the legs taken off where they'll sit on kneeling pads, one with exercise balls to sit on, and one with traditional chairs. I feel like having these options will help my students focus while keeping them safely in seating that is designed to move with them!
