I have taught special needs students for eight years. In those eight years, one consistency has remained- inattention. I see my students constantly wiggling in their seats, sitting back on two legs, and frequently needing to move around the classroom. Flexible seating options like wobble chairs, balance balls, and Big Joe chairs will allow my special needs students to chose a work space that works best for their learning. After considering flexible seating, I quickly realized that funding would hinder my ability to provide my students with flexible workstation seating options. I have invested in stability disks, which my students LOVE, and high tables for standing options. However, one thing is clear- I cannot afford to roll out flexible seating on my own. We need your help!
