The goal of this project is provide classroom tools which will promote classroom community and engagement for my students. Students feel empowered when they have choice and responsibility in their learning. The various seating options will appeal to all students and give them choice in the way they'd like to learn during independent work times. Students will have the flexibility to stand, bounce, or sit while working. The chart paper, markers and dry erase dots will provide them tools for working collaboratively and interactively. Eight and nine year olds love group activities and cooperative work and these supplies will be fun and engaging options for showcasing their ideas and work. By donating to this project, you are empowering students, increasing their engagement and excitement for school and learning. This will ultimately increase their academic achievement.
