My science instruction could be better if I had more science resources. My school has both a Math and Reading coach that provides us with so many resources pertaining to the two subjects specifically. My class enjoys Math and Reading and I think it is because they have options, they have centers games, as well as online resources provided by the district. They could develop a love for Science and Social Studies just as much if they had resources other than the textbook which is, I’ll admit, boring! They love centers and I try to be creative as possible by creating centers but it’s only so much that I can do. If I had already made, kid-friendly Science centers, they could benefit from this even more. I enjoy Science and it saddens me to see my students not enjoy it because they think it is boring. My students could benefit from having these items because I believe it will change their attitude about the subject completely, it is convenient for the teacher, and accessible for all learners. With these items, students learn about different Science topics with hands-on learning centers that come ready to use. Specifically, the Lakeshore learning centers have enough materials for up to 4 children to work at once, including simple picture instructions, so even non-readers can participate. Please help my students develop a love for Science by donating a small amount today. This will help students gain more knowledge about the Science standards, as well as, develop skills while working independently or with peers .
