My students need to see how they affect science, and how science affects them. We successfully introduced environmental issues last year into the science classroom. These relevant issues have an engaging impact on the students in the class and I want to continue to help foster this interest. For this energy unit, the students will move from learning about circuits to creating them with batteries then to learning about other technology such as hydro, wind, and Bloom. These MudWatt STEM kits will be a great end project where the student will work in small groups, taking a hands-on approach to create their own clean energy. The donations for this project will provide students an engaging way to discover how they can make clean energy using natural resources. This will change their lives by giving them a broader look at science and the "invisible" world around them.
