Micro:bits are a cost-effective tool to help students learn to code. What is great about Micro:bits is that there is already tons of resources and lessons available online ready to go for me to use with my students. Most of the time with technology teachers will want to get all these new technology gadgets, but then they do not know how to use the technology. That is not the case here, I recently was a part of a GenCyber’s teacher camp at a college campus, and we got training on how to incorporate these Micro:bits with our students and I can not wait to be able to use these in my classroom with my students! Cybersecurity is one of the hot new career fields, and students are going to need the skills, ability and knowledge to code. The Micro:bits are a very cost effective way for me to teach coding, and where students can see the actual output of what they code. Micro:bits have different levels of coding built into the program, so no matter if a student has tons of experience with coding or none, everyone will be able to participate and have success no matter what.
