My classroom has recently become a flipped classroom. Every students has their own laptop that they carry with them all day. I would like to give my students flexible seating option to create a richer learning environment. Research (though not an abundance of) has shown that allowing for flexible seating has shown to increase academic performance by students. I am constantly looking for ways to break away from the norm. I believe that using these items will help to decrease the inherent tension that comes from the usual classroom. Students will be allowed to choose a location that better suits their needs which will allow for a more focused class, increasing their overall performance.
