Having a new computer and camera system will allow our "news crew" to more effectively broadcast our daily news feed. Through this news program, our students are practicing public speaking skills, career readiness, and collaboration to perform their jobs as a team. Our WGLN news program delivers pertinent information about our healthy living standards, character education, daily happenings, and school life. By updating our equipment, our news crew will have the opportunity to learn first hand how to create their slides and videos. Our current equipment is so outdated that the sponsors are having to do most of the computer work. We would like our news crew to be involved in the production of our news from start to finish. This laptop and video camera will give them a more realistic view of careers in this field.
