My school serves around 1,250 students in the largest county of our state. Last year, about 13% of our population had a disability and almost 20% were being served by gifted and talented programs. My students, who are from a variety of ethnic backgrounds, life experiences, interests, and hobbies, come to me with an enthusiasm for learning. I teach grades six, seven, and eight. I teach students who are part of the general education classes as well as exceptional students.
