My students do a great job with flexible seating! It is effective because they are given the opportunity to move around the classroom as they work. Students have learned to self-regulate and are able to get their work done effectively. The area my students struggle in is staying organized. Since we use flexible seating, desk storage is minimal and lockers are a mess! The classroom seems to be chaos by the end of the day! Students often cannot find the supplies that they need because they are not in a centralized area. By donating to this project, you will be helping my first grade students learn organization skills that will allow us to spend more time learning and less time searching for supplies! I'm looking forward to seeing all that we can get done once we are organized and how much our daily time spent picking up the classroom will decrease.
