My school is one that is culturally diverse and the cultures are deeply rooted in the education within. The school is located on an Indian reservation and many of the customs of the culture are demonstrated regularly, including an assembly complete with singing and dancing to start our day. As learners, the students are also quite diverse. In my classroom I have four students who are ELL students varying in their ability to speak English. Also, many of my students are working to build their reading skills and many are classified as below grade level. While learning may not come easy to many of my students they do their best everyday to grow their brain and keep a growth mindset and know that they may not know how to do something yet but that doesn't mean they won't.
