Just like an at home dinning table, round tables encourage collaborative , meaningful discussions which in turn increases student learning and understanding of topics. The flower seating allows more students per table, which gives students the opportunity to have these deep conversations with more of their classmates. Common core standards require more student talk as opposed to teacher talk. These tables allow a more organic conversation to take place. In using these tables, more of my students are able to work together to deepen their understanding of their learning. The adjustable table height also allows me to give flexible seating options. Today, students need more movement, and the various height options allows me to meet their needs.
