The requested listening center with books and bins, will be put to great use three times a week. The students will rotate through the listening center during our Reading Center time. When it is their turn at the listening center the students get their book, put their headphones on and push play. They will listen to the story and complete a journal writing or paper to wrap up the story. Reading Centers are important. We have reading centers 3 days a week for 45 minutes. During this time I am working with a small group while the rest of the class is engaged in literacy activities. One center is a listening center. This center is is in need of engaging books with a clean listening station. Reading Centers give me time to reach the different skill levels. I am able to work with small groups of students and focus on what is challenging for that particular group.
