I currently teach the best students on the planet. From Pre-K through fifth grade, they come in to my Library Media Center thirsty to learn; especially when it comes to technology. Our school district has provided us with more technology, and our students are incorporating it into every aspect of their school day. I also have a namely amount of students that are learning English as a second language. Modern technology has helped these students in their attempts to learn the language. In many ways, technology is universal and these students can "dive right in" to these STEM projects without having language as a barrier. This helps them to feel successful in their new environment. Most of the students in our school are fortunate enough to have technology at home. This allows for the projects that we are working on to be worked on at home as well. This has greatly improved parental involvement and allowed the community to participate in our technological adventures!
