Building fine motor skills is a necessity at this stage. With daily hands on activities, they will build strength and stamina to tackle all that kindergarten will throw at them! Each morning, they will build, create and explore the materials while building working on their fine motor skills. Many of my students come to school with very little experience with books or being read to. With the use of the listening center, it will give students even more chances to hear great literature and will increase their love for reading and books. They will build independence as they use the listening center on their own and respond to what they have listened to.
