Reading is an instrumental part of my dual immersion class. In my class, students are learning Spanish Language Arts (reading, writing, grammar, etc). By having texts that are novel studies, students will be able to engage with their books and with the literature at a deeper level. It's often challenging to find books that are available in Spanish to do novel studies with, so we will take the opportunity to use the books for vocabulary development, critical thinking, and text analysis. We will also tie in response to literature with the novel studies! We will read these books in small groups and as a class to help students gain a lifelong love for reading!
