I have 22 spunky, fun, lovable 1st graders. They love coming to school every day. I love how sweet they are. I teach in a low socioeconomic area. The majority of our students qualify for free or reduced rate lunch. For some of them school is the only stable thing in their lives. They come from broken homes, foster care, and some are even homeless. They lead hard lives for such young kids. None of these factors stop them from loving their teachers and loving to learn. Even though they don't have much they still give everything they have to help others. I wouldn't trade my school or my kids for anything in the world.
