Our classroom is very busy every single day with grades Pre-K all the way through 8th coming in & out every 45 minutes. The entire school just regained its music program a year ago and the entire staff has been more than supportive. Our biggest news is that we now have band, orchestra, and chorus! Our Pre-K through 2nd grade begin to develop gradual ear training as they become more and more familiar with the sounds of the major scale by hearing & singing Do Re Mi syllables. They also begin the amazing journey of learning how to read rhythm using the Ta & Ta-ti syllables. The children radiate in excitement and demonstrate movement as they are exposed to the master works of classical music. They love Mr Bach and all his friends! Our older students continue with the fundamentals of music and are challenged with developing their listening & writing skills and dive deep into other academic areas such as math & history!
