Our school is on the Westside of Indianapolis and we serve students from a wide variety of socioeconomic, cultural and academic needs. Although our school does not receive Title I funding, approximately 75% our scholars receive free or reduced lunch rates. I am the Reading Interventionist that will be servicing grades Kindergarten through Fourth grade this year with the goal of instilling the love of reading and to spark the adventure of lifelong learning. The addition of an interactive whiteboard and pen will allow for modeling of looking deeper into literature and to read not only what the author wrote but also what is not said. This board will allow literature to come to life and my students to interact with reading and texts like they have not been able to in the past.
