When this project gets funded, I will be able to add more movement options to my current flexible seating arrangement. My current seating includes swivel chairs, standing desks, stools, and 3 video gaming chairs that allow students to rock (some can be seen in the picture above). The balance balls, ball stools, and a chair that wobbles but does not tip will encourage the use of the students' core muscles. These options replace the standard school issued rigid chairs they currently use. At the middle school level, students' size varies and getting sturdy seats that do not need replacing each year is important. My goal is to continue to add options for the students as opportunities are presented. By donating to my project, you will help my students bounce & wobble their way to success. All students, regardless of socioeconomic status, home situation, and ability level deserve the tools needed to reach their goals.
