My school is a Title One school with a student population rich in ethnic and cultural diversity. Most are ESL (English as a Second Language) students. For the majority of my students this is their first exposure to science. They do not know what an anemometer, barometer or even a thermometer is. They have the great opportunity to be able to come to my class for an hour a week for a hands-on science lesson. I have seventy fourth graders and seventy-five fifth graders that will benefit from this project.
