Many of our students don't have access to reading materials at home. My goal is to connect Literacy and Numeracy together within the mathematics classroom. Our teachers would have the ability to show their students how important math can be and how each concept applies to the real-world. This will also aide in why students need to learn mathematical concepts and how they are applied to everyday life. The books would be used in stations/centers and to introduce and relate mathematical concepts to real world concepts that students are interested in. A center could be Using Math in Sports Book.

About my class
