Hi--thank you for taking the time to look at my projects and donate to our classroom. We are a public school that is considered an inner city school district in New York. I teach sixth grade English to approximately 100 students daily. Throughout the year we read novels, nonfiction articles, and learn to research on technology that we have available. Of course we are also always writing! My goal as an English teacher is to inspire my students to become life long readers, learn the necessary skills to succeed in life and achieve their dreams! In our society today, it is more important than ever to develop the skills to analyze what we read--for things such as buying a car, purchasing a home, reading a cell phone contract. It can even be life and death for someone with a severe allergy--they need to be able to read the menu! Thank you for helping us to achieve our goals!
