Since our school is Title 1, our goal for each student is for them to become successful in school and life. A strong foundation will provide the stepping stone they need to excel and have opportunities to succeed. Most of my students live in financially assisted housing and receive free lunch. Although they are poor financially, they are rich in heart! The entire school strives to nurture the students with love and knowledge. High expectations are producing results. Students in our school know that education is the key to becoming productive members of society. I desire an environment for the students that is cheerful and inviting. With limited funds, it is difficult to provide the students with a room that is comfortable for learning. The tile floor lacks color and is cold and hard. My students need to feel the warmth of an inviting room so their mind is on learning not lack of comfort and personal space.
