My students come to me every day from different backgrounds and diverse families, but when they walk into my room, they enter a place that belongs to them- a community of diverse learners and students that love each other and treat each other as family members. They are eager to find out what's happening each day; they are enthusiastic about learning new things and exploring by way of reading. Our school is a home away from home for most of these students. They take pride in their school, classroom, and themselves. We are a small town school with global aspirations.
