Adding Kindle Fire tablets would make project based learning even more accessible for all of my computer students. These tablets would allow students to learn about different types of coding and try them out. The Fire tablets will also allow my students to connect their programs directly to the robots so they can more easily evaluate their code, identify mistakes, and modify the code to achieve the goal. Having Fire tablets for my students to use will allow the learning in my classroom to be more efficient which will allow for even more learning to occur. My students spend a lot of time working in groups due to limited resources, but the Fire tablets would allow more students to have an opportunity to shine as an individual. While all of my students have the opportunity to participate in each project and learn the value of compromise in completing challenges as groups, I know that many great ideas get pushed to the side. I would love to be able to celebrate even more student successes in class and provide every student the opportunity to feel individual success and know that they have the skills to pursue STEM in the future.
