I teach Suzuki violin to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders. I also have two after-school Orchestras for grades 4-8. The school has a classroom set of violins so the students do not have to spend money to buy or rent their own. The original cases the instruments came in had zippers which have begun to break and fall off. The new hard cases with clasps will be more durable for multiple daily use. Music stands are an important addition to any music program. I have wire folding stands but after years of using them daily for multiple classes, they have begun to wear out. The solid stands that I can store in a stand rack will be durable for daily use. I am all about durability so supplies can be used daily for years. The cases and stands are needed in order for my music classes to run smoothly without taking instructional time to help a student open a broken case or create a make-shift music stand.
