I currently work in a very low income area. All of the students receive free breakfast and lunch. Many of my students cannot afford school supplies for the year. I buy almost all of the supplies needed for our classroom. I wish I could do more for them and our classroom. Several of my students also struggle to stay focused. I would love to have some flexible seating in the classroom for those students who need it. Most of my students are not on graded level. I want to create a very open and welcoming classroom so that my students feel safe and comfortable.
