My students will be working on word-building using a program called KinderWord Building. These magnetic letters and boards will be used to create and manipulate words by removing and adding sounds, as well as segmenting and blending sounds. Using magnetic letters allow the kids to learn word building in a hands-on way, and reduces the use of consumable products. Win-win for everyone! The letters are removable and interchangeable which allows students to make changes and edit their words. The magnetic dry-erase boards are very versatile. They can be used with the magnetic letters as well as markers for students to practice letter formation and word creation. Plus, they are reusable for many years to come! For young learners, markers and dry-erase boards are motivating and fun. The letters, dry-erase boards and markers are a great way for my students to have hands-on, active experiences while they learn foundational skills for reading.
