My classes include three choirs that are sectioned by grade level, 6th, 7th and 8th grade. Although my classes are labeled as choir, I want each student to learn and experience music in a variety of ways. We use dancing, playing games, and peer teaching to learn vocabulary, music theory, and the basic techniques of singing. We pride ourselves on being musicians, not just singers, who have fun while they we learn. I also teach a class of 20 special needs students called Music Experience. The students in this class love to play instruments, sing, move and learn how to read music. They are especially fond of playing orff and percussion instruments.
