I teach second and third graders to read. I often tell the parents that I am going to "rewire" their child so that they will be able to read. The dyslexia class allows the students to feel successful by building fluency and automaticity in reading. My students range in severity from mild to severe. I strive to meet individual needs through a multi-sensory approach. This approach allows my students to gain confidence because they are learning in the style that best suits them.
