Our school has computer carts available for teachers to check out but unfortunately there are no headphones available and there is no technology money available to purchase any. We utilize the computers several times a time for reading, writing, and math lessons. We individualize each student's instruction with most of the students requiring the text to speech feature creating a room full of noise and distraction. It is very disturbing for all of us to hear several different websites or apps running at the same time as each student engages in her/his individual learning. Having headphones would replace our present cacophony with peace and quiet and more learning.
