Our school just started a ceramics class and there are many essential tools that the class needs in order for the students to be successful. Our school has taught art for many years but the students asked for a ceramics class. I have been a potter for many years and am a social science teacher. I am thrilled with the opportunity to teach another subject that I am passionate about. I know that my students will love this class as well but we need some tools in order for this class and my students to succeed. These tools are desperately needed for a ceramics class to be a success. The students will place their art pieces on the decorating wheels so that they can look at their art work from all angles. The students will use the different wire tools, slab roller and sponges throughout the year as they work the clay and design new art pieces.
