Donations to this project provide my students with other ways to make learning easier, enjoyable, and promote success. Studies show that students' brains are fully engaged when their bodies are comfortable with options for movement. I want to provide my class with balance ball chairs, wobble cushions and stability stools to keep their little bodies moving safely during the day. The motion stimulates their brains, helps to keep them engaged, and promotes health, as our recess time has been cut. Students work best when they are physically comfortable. Having seating options teaches them to try different things and control their bodies. They will learn to share, take turns, and communicate their needs appropriately. My students will be able to identify where they should sit for optimal listening and focus as well as where they can work independently or in a group. The ultimate goal is for as many students as possible to consistently demonstrate successful learning.
